Lover is a design studio founded by Josefien Verleysen and Thomas Lemmens based in the city centre of Antwerp. They converted an old house into a home, office & atelier. From there, starting out with interior projects and occasional furniture production. After some years, deciding to fully focus on the design and the production of small-scale furniture collections and objects made by hand in their atelier.
The work is a result of the study of a material, it’s possibilities to work with it and traditional techniques to create lifelong furniture with a warm eclectic touch, looking for craftmanship, heritage & beauty. Sometimes starting from a beautiful piece of wood or object, and resulting into a unique piece. The small-scale production atelier makes the designs purified, finding the most efficient way of producing. Available in limited editions mostly, or custom made.
